Testimonials

Dear Jerry Enella and Bridgette Brown,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you both and your team for the kind and compassionate care provided to my uncle at Sapphire Rehab Center.

While he was only there for approximately one week, we were very appreciative of the environment your facility provided him.

From the moment we entered the facility, we knew it was a good fit. The facility was clean and welcoming. We were greeted with respect and treated kindly. Almost immediately, staff approached and introduced themselves and provided us with the detailed information we would need to make sound decisions and to make his stay comfortable. The staff on the 6th floor were amazing, both kind and compassionate.

On his behalf, we extend our gratitude for giving us peace of mind knowing he was in caring hands.

Thank you again for the important work you do.

To whom it may concern:

My name is Rodney Benson, I spent 62 days at your rehab center.

I write this letter to personally inform you as to the outstanding service I received from your center. I came in from Flushing Hospital afraid and nervous. It is impossible to name all of the staff members. However, this is what I know the 6th floor nursing staff all shifts.  Highly professional, and caring, the same can be said for the Nursing Assistants all shifts. Director Dorothy and her exceptional outstanding OT and PT professionals.

These folks truly functioned as an integrated team, they help me a lot in improving myself. The social workers office and recreation. Always available with assistance and information. I must also commend the administration and support staff. The maintenance and porters were also very supportive. In all  I felt very comfortable at the rehab center. Thanking you in advance for your center enabling me to return home and return to normal. I am forever grateful.

Very truly yours,

Rodney Benson

Good Evening Mr.Enella,

My name is Ronald Rivera and I was a patient at your facility, I was just recently discharged about 3 weeks ago. My purpose in this email is to provide accolades and kudos to your Physical Rehabilitation Department in the hopes that they be recognized and compensated in these trying times.

To Dianne Smith: Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you kept me sane when I didn't know what my physical end result would be. You never gave up and you were alway cordial, respectful and you are awesome, it was a pleasure to have met your acquaintance . One day I would love to dance with you after watching Stormfront go down....Thank you...You Pushed and I moved.

Troy Banner: My Man, you kept me whole , you held me when I couldn't move or get out of bed, and that sense of humor is and should be prerequisite for OTP. You pushed and I moved.

To Dorthy Racino Navvarro: As the head of Rehabilitation Department, I applaud you, Thank you for your morning greetings and Thank You for allowing your staff to be, to grow, and to service the patients on such a level that is consistent and productive in their physical rehabilitation

REST OF STAFF OF THE PHYSICAL REHABILITATION DEPARTMENT:

Thank You for making me feel welcomed and comfortable....especially Christian not not too words were exchanged but much respect for the work he does.

So as I end this conversation Mr Enella, I would like to know that these members of your staff in this department will be recognized and possibly compensated in any manner you feel appropriate.

From a Breakfast to a Raise, you decide but I hold you accountable to do the right thing as you have by keeping this ensemble of Physical Health Providers together.

Hello Mr.Enella and Ms. Gattoc,

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how nice the visitation with my mother on Monday 4/19/21 was. I was very pleased.

I made an appointment with Stephanie in the recreation dept. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I arrived. I was given a rapid COVID test and waited for the result. I was then given a face shield and a gown to wear over my clothes. After the rapid test I was taken into the large room to see my mamma. Cash was there. It was so nice to see him again. He greeted me warmly and I sat at a nice table that had a plant on it and pretty pillows on the seats. Cash gave me a blue bag with nice gifts from the home to me. That was very nice.

Then the elevator door opened and there was my mamma and her much loved caretaker Geraldine. I was so happy to see mamma, we both had tears in our eyes it had been the first time in many months that we saw one another. It was the best feeling to see her.

I was so happy that Geraldine was the person to take mamma downstairs. Me and my brother Mark are so thankful that Geraldine takes such great care of our mamma. We consider Geraldine as a family member because that’s the love and care she shows our mamma. My mamma loves her and always wants Geraldine near by.

I wasn’t there for my mamma’s 89 th birthday in March because of the lock down but the wonderful staff made it special for my mamma. I bought her presents and gave them to mamma on Monday. I bought new sneakers for mamma and Geraldine tried them on her to make sure they fit ok. Cash was so nice to take a couple of pictures for me at my request. The whole 30 minutes was such a happy experience for me and mamma. I left for home very happy. I live far away 1 1/2 hours away but totally worth it.

I know that we’ve all had a difficult year and the Nursing homes suffered most of all.

I see that you have done everything you can to keep the residents safe. I’m very very grateful for my weekly FaceTime visits that Tatiana arranged all during COVID and still required until things get better. Again thank you both very much for all that you do for Sapphire and the residents.
